Create Linked Queries with Excel Sheets.
Added the ability to link/merge queries between Excel workbooks, sheets and range names. If you
have one or more common fields in both worksheets, you can merge them into one dataset and
slice and dice it just like any other dataset.
New Custom Values Wizard.
Added Custom Values Wizard which allows you to combine several values into one
of more custom values. You can easily group your data into Quarters (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th)
of a year. You can group your data into Last Week and Prior Week and see the difference between
the two weeks. You can create groups of great customers, good customers and those not-so-good
customers based on total profit. These are just a few of the many thousands of possibilities that
the wizard will effortlessly create for you.
New Pivot Wizard.
Works like a Group but instead of the values grouped
vertically they're grouped horizontally (pivoted) as column headers. This functionality
is similar to a pivot table in Microsoft Excel™ or a crosstab query in Microsoft
Access™. Formerly known as XTab.
New Column Widths Wizard.
Added Column Width Wizard which allows you to quickly apply the same column width to
several columns. No longer do you need to spend precious time dragging columns.
The wizard gives you the ability to precisely set your column widths much faster.
Drill-Down Tally alerts you when the printed grid is wider than the right margin or page.
Enhanced Query Builder functionality.
You can now visual design and merge two or more tables and queries into one dataset. Quickbooks
users can export more than one custom report from their accounting software and then join them
together into dataset to create unlimited reports from. Join .dbf, Access, Excel text files
and ODBC data together in one query to design reports with.
Your reporting playground just got a little bigger with this capability.
Enhanced Gateway File Administration.
Enhanced Gateway File Administration so you can manage your tables, queries and report datasets.
Link to tables, data files and worksheets faster than ever. Join these files together with the
enhanced Visual Query Builder to take your reporting endeavors to a new level.
Added Central Upgrade to Install Setup.
This is for those of you who need a central location to update your FREE forever major upgrades and
minor updates. You can now install the program to a central location and have all your users pick
up the latest build of Drill-Down Tally with ease. After install a desktop version to each user,
you can set the setting to where the central updates location is and Drill-Down Tally will pull
any updates to each user when needed. This is great for multiple licensed employees that can see
a centrally located folder to grab the updates from.
Lower Pricing on Enterprise Edition.
If you can not find an Authorized Training Center, you can always buy Drill-Down Tally

New Internal Charting.
You can now design unlimited charts to
your reports seamlessly with Drill-Down Tally. Quickly create and access all of these
familiar charts within the same report with our newest charting innovation.
New External Charting.
If you are more familiar with Microsoft Excel charting, you can export
the data to a Excel spreadsheet for further charting customization. It's
up to you the ultimate in charting is alive and well in Drill-Down
Tally.
New Prompting Filter.
You can use the new prompting filter with your RecordSet and Totals
filters. This is new popup question you can setup and ask for input at
runtime. This makes it easier to get dynamic input from users to
customize your reports data. See

Visual QueryBuilder for QuickBooks and ODBC setups.
It is now easier to get to your QuickBooks and ODBC data via Drill-Down
Tally's internal QueryBuilder. You can now visually add new datasets to your
QuickBooks and ODBC setups with query-by-example technology. The new datasets are sql statements created
with the new visual QueryBuilder. Click on the [...] under the Sql Statement
after clicking on the [File] [Gateway File Admin...] menu option. *This
feature is for advanced users who know the Query-By-Example process of
creating queries.
Quicker QuickBooks Reports with Export to Excel.
It is now easier to get to your QuickBooks data via
export to Microsoft Excel. We have documented how this process can speed
up your reporting capabilities to QuickBooks data.
Revised Reseller/Private Label Product Branding.
Drill-Down Tally has the capability to be branded under your product
name, icon, and company as the maker of the product name. We have
revised the private label to include more territory with lower pricing to accommodate this new reseller/branding
structure.
Enhanced Group Column Alignment.
Enhanced group columns to automatically align to the first calculation field when
designing your reports.

Reporting Views. IntelliRel
is changing the face of reporting possibilities with it's newest feature
"Reporting Views". Dramatically cutting down
network traffic saving you time, money and making it faster than ever
to access your reporting needs. This technology is changing how data information
is analyzed and processed in the 21st century.
You can now create and open additional views with the same recordset query. With
"Reporting Views" you can query your data once
and have Drill-Down Tally slice and dice your data with unlimited views to
the same recordset. No need to create 10 individual report files with one having just a
slight modification here and another a slight change there. Other times you will have one report
with a different sort here and
another order by there. Now you can quickly create and access all of these reports as views within the same file
with our newest innovation called "Reporting Views".

New Data Types.
Version 2004 includes access to data from popular software packages like Microsoft Excel, ODBC, ACT! and
Shop Controller in addition to Microsoft Access.
Demo Edition Functionality.
We have changed the way the demo edition works starting with build number 106.
Only one feature will be crippled. You will be able to save your reports in demo mode.
The new release will no longer remove records from your filtered recordset. You will now have
all records included, but a 'x' will replace some values on the report.
When you purchase a license you have full functionality and access to all values
on your printed reports.
New Report 3 Step Wizard. One of the newest
features of Drill-Down Tally is that simply makes it easier to create
a report. Our wizard will help any novice create a new report in 3 easy
steps. The wizard gracefully generates a new report in blinding speeds.
No training needed with this added feature.
Filter Wizard. This new wizard will help you fill out
your RecordSet Filter selection quicker than ever before.
Group Calculation Groups.
Another awesome feature of Drill-Down Tally is that you can create a group
from your aggregate group calculations. This is a powerful addition to the Drill-Down
Tally feature set. This means you can create drill-down report(s) containing
information pertaining to several different revenue levels. You could put them
in groups of excellent, so-so or poor based on the profit margin your company receives
and drill-down on each of them. Try to do that in Crystal Reports or Microsoft Access
and then make it a breeze to do on top of it.
Gateway File Setup. Create reports
from Microsoft Excel, ODBC, ACT!,
Shop Controller, .txt (comma separated) or .csv (comma separated values) text file
data. You can design reports with exported data from
Google, Amazon, eBay. You can gain
direct access to Microsoft Excel data via the Sheet Name or Range Name
of your favorite worksheet. Or any other text file you can export data
from. You can create as many reports as you want from your downloaded,
exported text or Microsoft Excel data files. This is a great productivity
tool for all buyers and sellers who access the world wide web or want
more detailed reporting from your Microsoft Excel data.
Export to Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table).
You will be able to export Drill-Down Tally data to Microsoft Excel
for more data analysis in a pivot table. This way you can look at your data from
a different perspective.
Export to Microsoft Excel (Summary Calculations).
You will be able to export Drill-Down Tally data to Microsoft Excel
for more data analysis. With this option you can export the base groups and calculations or all
of them. Again, just another wonderful way Drill-Down Tally allows you to look at your data from
a different perspective.
Tally FlexMart.
Creating a Tally FlexMart is an important part of Drill-Down Tally. It allows
you to wrap up a report definition and it's underlying data into a mini application.
After you create the Tally FlexMart you can send the file to any other licensed
owner of Drill-Down Tally. They can now create as many reports as they want
from the data you send them.
Screenshot Demo. A demo was added
to the help menu to help users get more familiar with the reporting capabilities
of Drill-Down Tally. It includes a user controlled slide show creating
a simple tabular report to designing an advanced 5 year trend analysis.
Enhanced Column Positioning.
To help format your report definitions a new column position property was added to help
position group calculations between XTab Group calculations.
